About KGYC
Kat's Got Your Culture is a place for culture in the broadest (and most fun)
sense, from slasher movies and literary fiction to cafes and travel
destinations. Most posts are just things I stumbled upon and want to talk about,
but I also consider movies and books for review (see below). In the meantime,
have fun and let me know in the comments if you like something, too, or have a
recommendation for me!
Authors and filmmakers, etc. looking for reviews or promo:
I'm always happy to feature books – they don't have to be brand new. As an author, I know every little publicity op can help during a book launch (and other times, too!). Let me know if you're interested in having your book be a KGYC Guest Book. I don't have the capacity for unsolicited full book reviews at this time, but I'm happy to review opening pages, just like I would if I picked it up in the bookstore. I'm also happy to review movies if I'm able to watch them somewhere online in the EU and they don't sound like something I'd hate (because then you don't want my review anyway!) Artists, musicians, playwrights, professional clowns, etc.: Ask in the comments or contact form and I'll let you know if I'm interested.
And who's the Kat in KGYC?
I'm Kat Hausler, longtime Berlin transplant from Virginia and author of the novels What I Know About July and Retrograde. (So, you know, read them if you haven't yet!). I like fiction, movies – especially horror – cafes and wandering around.
