Bunbury bookstore in Neukölln

This second-hand bookstore is also in Kreuzkölln so you can visit it at the same time as Buchkönigin and others. The selection is pretty random, but you can usually spot something good as you pass by. Mostly German but also other languages, and it's nice to browse out front.

In the course of my Agatha Christie jag, I've also been reading more of her short fiction, which is also a lot of fun. And check out this amazing cover! (1971 edition). I can't decide whether I like Miss Marple or Hercule Poirot better but I prefer either of them to Tommy and Tuppence.

Ruthless People

This movie is so fun! I watched it because it was a Zucker, Abrahams and Zucker movie I hadn't seen, so I thought it would be zany like Airplane. It does have a lot of laugh-out-loud hilarity, but it also works as a clever heist movie with lots of twists. Great cast with Danny Devito, Bette Midler, Bill Pullman, Judge Reinhold, etc. It's rare that cross-genre movies like action comedies work so well in both. Spoiler alert, no harm comes to the dog.
